Our 2014 NYLT Course was a great success! The next course to be offered will be in late summer, 2016, as we move forward with our two-year cycle alternating with Wood Badge.
WHAT IS NYLT?
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide all 13 to 20-year-old youth members of the Boy Scouts of America, both male and female, with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
SCOUTS AND VENTURERS - WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
- You'll have fun and make friends.
- The leadership skills presented will help you throughout your life; within Scouting, Venturing, in school, and later in life.
- Your home Troop or Venture Crew position will become more fun.
- You'll get to learn and practice, teach or show off your new leadership skills.
SCOUTMASTERS & ADVISORS – WHY SHOULD YOUR SCOUTS OR VENTURERS BE SENT TO NYLT?
We provide intensive leadership training in a controlled environment that will bene?t your scouts and your Troop or Venture Crew.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Boy Scouts must be at least 13 years old or completed seventh grade, First Class rank, and two years of Boy Scout summer camp. Venturers should have long-term camping experience. All participants must have completed Troop Leader Training or Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews within their scouting unit. NYLT is a six-day course.
