Wood Badge Training Course 2019

It is our pleasure to extend a personal invitation to you to participate in the Wood Badge training experience, where you will have this opportunity to share Scouting while developing your group leadership and team-building skills.

If you have been looking for a way to take your adult leadership skills to the next level, this is it!  This is not outdoor skills training, this is developing your personal skills of group leadership.  The Wood Badge course is only offered every two years and the training team is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality BSA training and personal growth experiences, using Mitigwa Scout Reservation as our base.

Course Fee: $280

  • $75 non-refundable deposit due upon registration.

  • Balance due on or before August 31, 2019

If you have fully paid for the course and are unable to attend, a refund may be considered. The request must be in writing (email or post) and submitted to Mid-Iowa Council as soon as possible. At the discretion of Mid-Iowa Council, you may be eligible for a partial refund based on course expenses already incurred. All payments of fees are non-refundable, except under the following conditions:
  • Serious illness (doctor's note is required)
  • Death in family
  • Special unexpected and extraordinary circumstances (circumstances reviewed at the discretion of Mid-Iowa Council)
  • Event is cancelled
If a refund is approved, it shall be disbursed in keeping with Mid-Iowa Council policies and procedures. All refunds, excluding course deposit, will be less twenty-five percent (25%) of the course fee, to cover liquidated costs incurred in preparation of the course. No refunds will be given for cancellations made the day of the event.
Maximum amount of refund: $280 - $75 (deposit) - $70.00 (25%) = $135.00.
