Wood Badge Staff Registration 2019

Course Director, Sharon Soder and Assistant Course Director, Tom Daft are already hard at work planning, reviewing materials, and looking at ways to deliver the best course possible. One very important element of the planning is finalizing the staff list. To be on staff, you would have had to complete Wood Badge for the 21st Century, be trained in your current scouting position, completed the new Youth Protection Training, and be able to attend all the staff development dates. Those of you who feel that you are able to commit to the effort and time required to help us present a great Wood Badge course are invited to contact Sharon. Please respond no later than September 26th to Sharon at BeATrainedLeader@gmail.com. Contact Sharon with any questions at the same email.

Below is a list of dates scheduled for staff development. Please review this list carefully to determine if being on staff for C5-177-19 would fit with your calendars. Attendance at all meetings is expected.

In addition, there will be considerable individual and group work for staff members between meeting dates, so staff time is maximized when the entire team is together. You will also be expected to assist with recruiting for the course.

Sharon, Tom, Dan Maiers (Course Advisor) and I, Council Training Chair, will be putting together what we hope to be the best Wood Badge Staff ever. If you express an interest in being on staff, you will receive a response, either an invitation to participate or a regretful “not this time” by October 31, 2018. We would like to be able to offer all interested Scouters a spot on staff, however there is a specific number of staff needed to run the course, and a requirement of 1/3 first time staffers.

If you are unable to be on staff but still would like to help out, please let us know! We can always use extra hands during set up, tear down, kitchen, trading post, etc. We would appreciate any help you can provide, so let us know what you would like to assist with!

Thank you in advance for your interest in being part of Wood Badge staff.
