Scouting For Food

2024 Information

Scouting for Food is the largest community service food drive in our area involving Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers and Explorers.

Scouting for Food has never been more important than now. Your Unit can participate in the Council’s Scouting for Food community service project and let your local area know about this service project to help your local community food banks.  Donate the collected food to the food back that your unit would like to support. Stickers can be start being picked up starting March 1st. Pick Up date is March 23rd

How is works

  1. Map out what houses you will visit.
  2. Register for the appropriate number of stickers. Please note, the stickers will hold all the necessary information for the community on how to participate. The stickers are large post-it notes that can be stuck directly to front doors.
  3. Pick up the stickers from Maytag Scout Office.
  4. Distribute the stickers to your mapped out community areas. VERY IMPORTANT! Mark what houses you stickered, so you remember what houses you need to pick up food from.
  5. Pick up the food and deliver it to your local food bank.

Important Dates

March 1st – Stickers may be picked up from Maytag Scout Office.

March 1st – 22nd – Distribute stickers throughout your communities.

March 23rd – Pick up food items and drop them off to your local food banks.
