Mid-Iowa Council Powder Horn Course
March 29-31, 2019 AND April 12-14, 2019 (attendance both weekends is required)

Powder Horn is a training opportunity designed to expose participants to activities and resources necessary to operate a successful Venturing or Troop High Adventure program and conduct the following:
Helps Venturing, Scout, and Cub Leaders learn to safely conduct and experience outdoor activities of a fun and challenging nature.
Provide an introduction to the resources necessary to successfully lead their Venturers and older Boy Scouts through a program of high adventure.
Familiarizes leaders with the Ranger program so that they can help the Venturer to meet the requirements of the Ranger Award.
Registration and $50 non-refundable deposit required to confirm registration for the 2019 Mid-Iowa Council Powder Horn Course.
$250 Early Bird, paid in full by Feb 1st, $275 after that until March 1st when registration closes for the 2-weekend course. The registration fee covers all meals, training materials, supplies, liability insurance and PRIZES. All participants will receive: 1 Powder Horn short sleeve T-shirt (additional shirts are available for purchase) and Powder Horn award (upon successful completion of the course)
** A $20 discount per person will be given to units who have more than one youth from the unit attending. To receive the discount, pay the $50 non-refundable deposit for each participant and contact Josh at the Maytag Scout Center to have the final amount due adjusted accordingly.
