On Saturday, June 23rd, Reiman Gardens will be hosting Pollinator Fest as part of National Pollinator Week. Pollinator Fest will run from 10am to 2pm and this year, thanks to a sponsor, admission to the Gardens is free for the day.
As part of the Pollinator Fest activities, there will be an opportunity for Scouts to earn their Insect Study merit badge. Scouts will take the worksheet around to specially marked Pollinator Fest participants tables where they will assist the Scouts in completing specific requirements. Once the Scouts have completed their worksheet, they will turn it into the Reiman Gardens Pollinator Fest Table where they will receive an insect to take home to rear through complete metamorphosis (requirement #9) and their blue card. Reiman Gardens front desk will hand out Insect Study worksheets between 9:30am to 1pm, please arrive early enough to allow the Scouts time to finish all stations before Pollinator Fest ends at 2pm.
