$10 to partially cover food and materials (please register below so we can prepare accurately, thank you)
Why: This is required training by BSA to ensure safety, quality program and knowledge and implementation of BSA policies/procedures.
What to Bring: Pen/pencil & paper, Class A uniform (if you have it), mess kit, hot/cold beverage container & camp chair. We intend to spend some time outside cooking and setting up a model campsite.
What is Provided: Morning - piece of fruit, roll, coffee, water, tea Noon- foil pack lunch & Dutch oven dessert
What you will learn:
- The focus of Cub Scout Outdoor Program
- Explore skills needed to plan and carry out a successful Cub Scout-level overnight activity, such as Health & Safety, Cooking, Campfire, Planning the trip, program & equipment needed & how to implement and follow Guide to Safe Scouting guidelines and principles and What is a Tour Permit anyway?
- Learn more about the resources available from the BSA for carrying out this activity
- Most importantly - How to make sure your event is fun for everyone - including the adults!
