That is TWO nights and two FULL days of enjoying this great outdoor
adventure!
Where: Our own, beautiful Camp Mitigwa. We will be sleeping out under the stars (well, actually, you will bring your tents!) at the same place the Boy Scouts usually camp! We will use the BIG pool, the BIG shooting ranges, the BIG dining hall and the BIG open spaces!
Who: The whole family! Any registered Scout can bring his parents, his siblings and/or his grandparents to this weekend, where activities will be geared toward the WHOLE family! Yes, your little brother gets to do everything, too! And if he or your little sister are too little for things like BB guns, we will have another 'Shooting Sports' activity they CAN do! Siblings will participate the same as the Scout!
This will NOT be a repeat of summer camp programming. The activities will be varied and the structure will be much more open - a lot more leisurely, but still full of action and excitement. Families will have lots of time to hang together and to enjoy the beauty of Camp Mitigwa as a family.
Each family needs to bring their own tents, sleeping bags, mats or cots, and lawn chairs. We will provide meals (3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday). The Trading Post will be open with some snacks available. We WILL have a campfire program! We will spend lots of time in the pool - parents will be responsible for their own kids. Pool toys are welcome. PFDs (life jackets) are strongly encouraged for non and barely swimmers. There will be activities appropriate for all but the youngest kids, though for the younger ones a parent may need to get in there and help them. There will be NO tot-lot or babysitting available.
