District Committee Meeting and Golden Eagle District Commissioners Meetings
The District Committee meeting is a time that all members of the Golden Eagle District Committee gather & present ideas and make district decisions. The Commissioner meeting is a time for all district unit commissioners to gather with the Golden Eagle District Commissioner and review how units within the Golden Eagle Distirct are doing, and what we need to do to assist Scouts & families in the Golden Eagle District. Meetings take place at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of every month at the Advanced Tech. Bldg., Conf. Room "A" (on the Indian Hills Campus, Ottumwa). If you have any questions please feel free to contact Sara Folsom at sara.folsom@scouting.org or (515) 954-6799.
District Roundtable and Golden Eagle Chapter Order of the Arrow Meetings
Roundtable meetings are a way to distribute lots of information, while still sharing in fellowship with fellow Scouters from Golden Eagle District. We meet at the Indian Hills Community College, Tech. Building. Meetings begin promptly at 7:00 PM. We have a small complete group meeting, then break up into smaller sessions (you choose what you’d like to learn about). We reconvene as a complete group for final closing comments. Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m., at Indian Hills Community College, Tech. Building. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Sara Folsom at sara.folsom@scouting.org or (515) 954-6799.
Golden Eagle Chapter Order of the Arrow meetings also take place at 7:00 PM at Indian Hills Community College, Tech. Building. These meetings are a way for Order of the Arrow members to get together and plan upcoming events, disperse information, and to enjoy the fellowship. Order of the Arrow (OA) is a National Honor Camping Society; it is an honor that is bestowed upon young men by their troops. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Ron Repp at rdrepp@windstream.net
