Well, things just continue to happen!! The ORF’s (Old Retired Fellows – Volunteers) continue to accomplish a wide variety of remarkable tasks to enhance the quality of the Camp Mitigwa experience. Without them, those of us at Camp Mitigwa simply would not be able to offer the diverse program we offer.

WOW!!  What a winter!  As a result of all the great weather we had the winter of 2011-2012, a whole bunch of projects that might have been put off until later this month have been accomplished. Things like cleaning the silt pond at Lake Fisher; repainting all the signage all over camp; construction of new seating for the amphitheater; painting the bottom of Maytag Pool; and the list goes on and on and on.

All Venturers are given opportunities to learn and apply proven leadership skills. A Venturing crew is led by elected crew officers. The officers work closely with adult Advisors and other adult leaders. Mid-Iowa Council created its own Venturing Officer Association to help foster the development of those leaders.
